Westchester Home Magazine Design Awards 2022 Finalist Modern Bath

The vision for this main bathroom renovation was to create a modern, elegant, clean-lined environment. The client also wanted to maximize the small space for storage. Every detail was considered for function and beauty to fashion a sleek bespoke design. The long narrow space was reconfigured, removing the tub that was never used and relocating and expanding what was originally a tiny, awkward corner shower to capitalize on the entire end of the bathroom. The design includes a zero-threshold shower entry and shower skylight to take advantage of natural light and sky views while showering. Large-format charcoal porcelain tiles wrap the walls, including the shower niche, creating a moody, seamless sophistication. A tile-in infinity drain visually disappears under the long quartz bench shower seat, adding to the minimalist aesthetic. A pale gray custom-designed double sink vanity with brushed nickel Graff faucets, interior pullout organizers and outlet drawer for a blow-dryer, sits under a custom framed mirror with integrated LED vertical lights. The full wall mirror expands the space and distributes the natural light of the large center skylight. Light grey, heated porcelain floor tiles lead to a water closet with a frosted glass door for privacy and to conceal the toilet. The water closet design captures extra storage space inside with customized millwork, making every inch of the bathroom as functional as it is a zen modern oasis.
