Westchester's choice for Best Interior Designer, Kim Annick Mitchell founded KAM DESIGN in 2012 to provide comprehensive interior design services rooted in exceptional client advocacy, client-inspired design and meticulous project leadership. Specializing in whole-home residences, renovations, kitchens, baths, new construction, and select commercial projects, Kim and her team serve as their clients' trusted advisor, advocate, and single point of leadership from initial concept through final implementation. Leading each project with a collaborative approach, KAM DESIGN guides its busy, discerning clients through a signature design process that thoughtfully integrates interior architecture, construction coordination, custom furnishings and project implementation into one seamless, enjoyable experience.

KAM DESIGN manages every phase of the process. Drawing on her extensive experience and a trusted network of skilled architects, contractors, artisans, and trades professionals, Kim assembles and leads the right team for each project. She continually advocates for her clients' best interests, ensuring design decisions, materials, allowances, investment, and architectural details align to deliver spaces that function for today and feel authentically their own.

Rather than subscribing to a signature style, Kim believes every home should tell the story of the people who live there. She has an innate ability to uncover each client's personal aesthetic and translate it into timeless interiors infused with personalized details, artistry, and thoughtful architectural elements. As one client shared, "It's exactly what I wanted, but could never have imagined it myself."

Kim is honored to be a six-time recipient of Westchester Magazine's Readers' Pick for Best Interior Designer (2020–2024, 2026) and a multiple Westchester Home Design Awards winner, including Best Mudroom (2024), Living Space (2022), Dining Room (2018), as well as recognition as a finalist across kitchen, bath, outdoor living, foyer, and specialty room categories. Kim was also selected as a Design Lead for two HGTV programs: Buying & Selling with The Property Brothers (Season 5, 2016) and Property Brothers (Season 10, 2017).

Kim is an Allied Practitioner of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) and proudly serves as the 2024–2027 ASID New York Metro Westchester/Lower Hudson Valley Liaison. She earned her A.A.S. in Interior Design from Parsons School of Design | The New School, where she later returned as Part-time Faculty for Parsons Open Campus (2020–2021). She also holds a B.A., summa cum laude, from Boston College.

Before founding KAM DESIGN, Kim spent 14 years in New York's advertising and marketing industry where she honed her client service and project management skills, as well as gained an appreciation for a clear vision as the essential element in creating inspiring work.

Kim lives in Larchmont, New York, with her husband, Bryan, KAM DESIGN's Managing Director, their twin daughters, and their beloved rescue dog, Bailey. Outside the studio, she finds inspiration in art, architecture, nature, and extensive travel, continually drawing from cultural and historical influences around the world.
