The existing hood was low, odd and awkward, unsuited for the charming home. The shelving mimics the arches of the large front window and the antiqued mirror back reflects their beauty, as well as natural light. The new fireplace facade and hearth utilizes large format textured porcelain tiles to frame the new gas fireplace. Contemporary torch-like sconces honor the home's history and the homeowner's modern sensibility, while touches of chartreuse, spring-green and plum accessories are at home with the room's natural hues.
